Hitachi announces the Microdrive 3K6, a 3600 rpm, 1.0-inch hard disk drive designed to meet the needs of high-capacity, ultra-portable electronic devices.
With a maximum capacity of 6GB, the drive holds 50 percent more than its predecessor more photos, more music, more data in the same compact size.
The new Microdrive 3K6 delivers a higher data rate for improved performance and is available in an embedded version or as removable storage.

Olympus xD Picture Card (H1GB) #202032-410 H-1GB Type H-Series xD-Picture Card uses the latest high-capacity storage technology to pack 1 GB of memory and high speed performance onto an ultra-compact media card. The Olympus H1-GB enables users to take and store approximately 500 shots averaging an image size of 8 megapixels with an Olympus digital still camera in HQ mode (the default high-quality image setting). The card features high-speed data-transfer capabilities, achieving write speeds up to 2-3 times faster than the Standard and Type M xD-Picture Card when used with Olympus digital cameras.
